CONDITIONS
OF HIRE The
definitions used in these conditions shall have the
meanings specified overleaf in the Booking Form. 1.
This Agreement is between the Hirer and the Property
Owner and becomes effective when a deposit has been
received from the Hirer and the Booking Confirmation sent
to the Hirer. 2.
The Property Owner agrees to let and Hirer agrees to take
the Property as a holiday home between the dates
specified overleaf. The Property is available from 3.00
p.m. on the first day of the letting, as specified
overleaf, and, in order to ensure that the Property can
be fully cleaned before the next letting, the Hirer must
vacate no later than 10.30 a.m. on the last day of the
letting. 3.
Provisional bookings made by telephone must be followed
up by receipt of a booking form and deposit within 7
days. For bookings made more than 8 weeks before arrival
a non refundable deposit of 50% of the total rental is
required. The balance of the rental falls due 8 weeks
before the holiday begins. No reminder is issued. If no payment is received by the date 6 weeks before the holiday begins then this Agreement shall be deemed to be cancelled. Any deposit paid will be forfeited. The Property Owner will try to re-let the Property. If the Property is re-let at the same fee, any monies paid by the Hirer will be refunded, less a management/administration fee of 15% of the value of the booking. If the Property Owner is unable to re-let the Property then the Hirer will remain liable for the balance of the rental fee. 4.
Upon payment of the deposit and acceptance of the booking
by the Property Owner, the Hirer becomes liable for the
balance of the rental. 5.
No pets are allowed. Smoking is not permitted anywhere in
the Property. 6.
The maximum number of people (excluding babies 0-2 years)
to be accommodated is shown overleaf. This may not be
exceeded. 7.
The Hirer shall not part with possession of the Property
or sub-let or share it, except with the members of the
party shown on the Booking Form. The Property Owner
reserves the right to refuse entry to a Property if the
maximum number is exceeded. 8.
The Property Owner warrants that the Property is well
equipped and furnished and is complete with all
furnishings, cutlery, crockery, and cooking necessary for
the maximum number of people stated in the description.
Sheets, duvet covers, pillowcases, towels, tea towels and
table linen are not provided. The Hirer must bring these
items. 9.
All necessary information to assist the Hirer during
his/her stay will be displayed in a prominent position,
including instructions for electrical equipment, names
and addresses of local doctors, dentists and hospitals,
refuse collection times and any other relevant details. 10.
A cot will be supplied, with a mattress, but without a
blanket. 11.
The cost of all electricity, heating and gas is included
in the rental fee. 12.
The Property Owner does not guarantee the security of the
Hirers vehicle(s) or personal possessions whilst
within the curtilage of the Property and cannot be held
liable for loss or damage thereto from any cause
whatsoever. Such items remain at the Hirers risk at
all times. 13.
The Hirer will be liable for breakages caused during
their occupation and must leave the Property
(particularly kitchen utensils and appliances) clean and
tidy. |
